SKILLAB at Open Community Experience and eSAAM 2024 Conference

Form October 22 – 24 we had a great time dissemination SKILLAB and networking with the open source community at Eclipse Foundation’s flagship event – the Open Community Experience alongside the co-located scientific conference eSAAM 2024 on Dataspaces!

It was a great pleasure to start gettting involved with these communities and discuss the SKILLAB approach and our pilot case aiming to empower open source communities by improving the free flow of skills data. We also gained lots of insights from open source experts about skills demand in different open source communities such as Automotive, Java, Modelling, Cloud-Edge-IoT Continuum and many more!

Furthermore, our project manager Konstantinos Georgiou presented the paper “SKILLAB: Creating a Skills Supply and Demand Data Space” at eSAAM discussing the interconnection between SKILLAB as a skills demand platform and data spaces, outlining the potential benefits and applications.
